Travelers head home after the long holiday weekend

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- For many people, Sunday was a bittersweet day as they headed back home after the long holiday weekend.

Action News caught up with some travelers at Philadelphia International Airport.

Whether heading back to their places of residence, or returning home to this area, they told us they had a wonderful time.

This Thanksgiving holiday weekend was projected to be one of the top five busiest travel holidays on record, with an estimated 2 million residents from the tristate area traveling 50 miles or more.
