Motorcyclist killed in Port Richmond crash

PORT RICHMOND (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating a motorcycle accident that claimed a life in the city's Port Richmond section.

It happened just after noon Thursday near the intersection of Elkhart and Frankford Avenue.

Officers say a 39-year-old motorcyclist collided with a van.

Medics tried to revive the man, but it was too late. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not released details on how the crash happened or if any charges will be filed.
