Phillies clinch 1st-round bye; NLDS will start in Philadelphia as race remains tight for No. 1 seed
The first NLDS game will be held on October 5 at Citizens Bank Park.
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Nick Castellanos, Trea Turner and Kody Clemens homered, and the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Chicago Cubs 9-6 on Wednesday night and clinched a first-round bye in the playoffs.
Castellanos had three hits and scored three times. Bryson Stott also had three hits and Brandon Marsh drove in three runs for the Phillies, who claimed their first NL East title in 13 years on Monday night.

Coupled with Milwaukee's 2-1 loss to Pittsburgh, Philadelphia secured the bye and home-field advantage in the NLDS. The Phillies owned the tiebreaker with the Brewers after winning the season series against the NL Central champions.
The first NLDS game will be held on October 5 at Citizens Bank Park.
In the race for No. 1 seed
Philadelphia will finish the regular season as the No. 1 or No. 2 seed depending on the Dodgers' record.

The final three games will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday against the Washington Nationals.
Philadelphia can clinch home-field advantage through the NL Championship Series by ending the season tied with or ahead of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Phillies entered the last two postseason runs via the Wild Card round. In the that round, which begins October 1, the No. 3 seed faces the No. 6 seed , the the No. 4 seed faces the No. 5 seed.

"Given that our season ticket base has doubled to 20,000 in the past two years, ticket availability will be extremely limited through this opportunity," said Phillies Senior Vice President of Ticket Operations & Projects John Weber.
Only fans whose registration is selected in the random drawing will have the opportunity to purchase tickets.
