The head of the Secret Service says all hands will be on deck when Pope Francis visits the U.S. and Philadelphia in September.

Director Joseph Clancy says having the pope here will be a tremendous challenge.

One that the Secret Service and other law enforcement are ready for.

"He loves to be out with the people and you've seen some video of him, in fact we sent some of our people out to Rome. Our detail leaders went out to Rome a couple weeks ago and I went out to Rome to see first-hand how their detail works - protecting the pope, what he likes to do and how he travels within the crowds," said Clancy.

Clancy says the Secret Service has also been meeting with police, the FBI, and other local and federal partners since January.
