Philadelphia police investigating homicide in Tioga-Nicetown

TIOGA-NICETOWN (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating a homicide in the city's Tioga-Nicetown section.

The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. along the 3800 block of Germantown Avenue.

Police said someone opened fire on a 49-year-old man, striking him twice in the chest.

He was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:42 p.m.

So far, no word on arrests or motive.
