Philadelphia's parking app meterUP is back

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- It's back.

The Philadelphia Parking Authority has relaunched its pay by phone parking app meterUP.

The app was released more than a year ago, but the company operating it had financial problems and shut down in April.

But now the app is back with a new partnership, which means you will need to download the updated version.

As of now, meterUP is available in Center City and University City.

The PPA hopes to expand the program citywide over the next four months.
