PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A local skincare line is stepping in where support is often lacking.
Sabbatical Beauty is offering free facials to transgender youth to help them feel more at home in their own skin.
Ahead of Giving Tuesday, they're raising funds to make more faces shine.
Adeline Koh is the founder of Sabbatical Beauty, a small batch Korean-inspired skincare company, run out of the Bok Building in South Philadelphia.
She says for every $25 donated from now until December 12, that money will go towards covering the costs of participating estheticians with the Equitable Skincare Project, who are giving free facials to a young trans person.
Koh says many people in transition experience skin changes due to hormone therapy.
Providing this service for free gives them more than a glow.
Koh says in return, donors get a $25 discount on all Sabbatical Beauty products.
The free facials will happen on December 15 at the William Way Community Center.
