Woman robs Wawa store in South Philadelphia

Police are looking to identify a woman who was caught on camera robbing a Wawa in South Philadelphia.

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are looking to identify a woman who robbed a Wawa store in South Philadelphia last month.

The robbery happened on November 20.

According to authorities, the woman entered the store on the 1600 block of South Columbus Boulevard shortly after midnight.

She can be seen on surveillance approaching the counter and demanding cash.

After the clerk opens the register and begins to pull out money, the suspect goes behind the counter and pushes the employee from behind.

The clerk drops the money and the suspect grabs an unknown amount of cash scattered on the floor before fleeing the scene.

She was last seen running west from the store towards Front Street.

Police describe the suspect as a white female, 23-25 years-old, 5'6 tall, 130-140 lbs. with a thin build and blonde hair. She was wearing a red knit hat, blue sweatshirt and blue jeans.
