Former WWE wrestler stops armed robber

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. (WPVI) -- A man in Florida tried to rob a former WWE wrestler, but it did not end well for the would-be criminal.

Surveillance video shows the man approaching the athlete, Shad Gaspard, at a convenience store.

The man asked Gaspard to buy him a beer.

After Gaspard said 'no,' the man told him he had a gun in his waistband.

The 6'7 former wrestler took the gun, grabbed the man, and shoved him out the door.

Gaspard slammed him to the ground and held him until police arrived.

Police have charged the suspect, identified as Jason Felix, with robbery.
