Police say 26-year-old Trevor Lightbourn was found lying on the street Sunday night with a gunshot wound to the chest. He died at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.
Authorities say 29-year-old Cornell Shawell is being held on a first degree murder charge in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility. It's not immediately clear if he has an attorney.
Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Ferman says in a news release that Shawell admits shooting Lightbourn, and says the two had a yearlong dispute over money. A preliminary hearing is scheduled Feb. 25.
