Police searching for suspect in rape attempt

PHILADELPHIA - March 6, 2008

Police say a 33-year-old woman reported that she was abducted on February 28th at 5:30 a.m. from the 2400 block of Wharton Street. She was driven to an area near the 25th Street railroad bridge.

The woman told police that while they were at that location, two men held her down while the suspect pictured above sexually assaulted her.

After the attack, she was released.

Police say the suspect is a black man between 30 and 40 years old, between 6' and 6'3" tall who was wearing black jeans, a black hoody that had a red design on the right front side and a NYC BB cap that was black, white and gray.
