The driver of the tractor-trailer, 29-year-old Deltez K. Jackson, of Salisbury, Md., was not injured.
The highway was closed for about three hours early Saturday as police investigated.

Crash on U.S. 13 kills one
FELTON, Del. (AP) - March 8, 2008
Delaware State Police say 25-year-old John Kogut was driving
north in the southbound left lane when he collided with a
tractor-trailer heading south about midnight. Kogut was pronounced
dead at the scene.
