Dorm fire displaces 71 Dickinson students

CARLISLE, Pa. (AP) - April 26, 2008 College spokeswoman Christine Dugan says no one was injured in Friday morning's fire at Malcolm Hall. She says most damage to the building was caused by smoke.

Dugan says the students who lived on the ground floor will remain in alternate housing through the end of the term on May 13. The rest should be back within a week.

Dickinson is a private, liberal arts school in Carlisle, about 18 miles northeast of Harrisburg.
