Taryn Dyess says she wanted to do something special so she equipped her school's narcotics-investigating dog Maggie with a bullet-proof vest.
The project to give the three-year-old black Labrador retriever more protection had lots of support from the community.
The student held a garage sale at her house and then received donations from businesses in the area to help pay for Maggie's new vest.
It cost about 500 dollars.
