Phillies Play Mets again Tonight

NEW YORK (AP) - July 23, 2008 Until last night.

It looked like New York would take over first place Tuesday night, but the Phillies erupted for six runs off three Mets relievers in the ninth to overcome a 5-2 deficit and pull out an 8-6 win.

Jimmy Rollins says, "It started last year" - referring to the Phillies' comeback from seven games behind the Mets with 17 to play to win the division. He says, "You never give up."

The Phillies have scored the second-most runs in the NL, but hadn't been faring so well against the Mets until recently. They have scored 17 runs in their last two games, though.
