A minor leaguer accused of throwing a ball that hit a fan during a brawl has been charged with felonious assault. Peoria Chiefs pitcher Julio Castillo was arrested last night following the fight with the Single-A Dayton Dragons.

Officials say the 21-year-old Castillo is scheduled to be arraigned today. Video from the game shows Castillo throwing the ball but doesn't show where the ball landed.

The unidentified fan was treated at a nearby hospital and released, according to a hospital spokeswoman, who didn't know the extent of the fan's injuries.

Umpires ejected 15 players and the team's managers following the bench-clearing brawl that lasted about 10 minutes.
