Tuttle told the Citizen Tribune newspaper that her father was a longtime constable who won his election in another district.
He encouraged her to run as a write-in candidate for the county post.
Her dad said no one was running for the office, and she should do it.
Tuttle wrote in her own name on the ballot.
And no one else voted in the race.
So, she won.
Tuttle says not even her husband knew she was going to do it until a month before the election.
