Tip callers help capture bank robber - Philadelphia News

PHILADELPHIA - August 12, 2008 After police released surveillance photos of a woman robbing the Third Federal Bank on East York Street, this past Sunday, they started receiving tip calls.

The tip callers indicated 52-year-old Margaret Andrews as the female depicted in the pictures.

Andrews was also positively identified by the bank teller.

The Major Crimes/F.B.I. Violent Crime Task Force assisted in the investigation.

Andrews was arrested in her home and is charged with robbery and related offenses.
