The Coast Guard says one person was killed and another was injured when a 28-foot boat collided with a jet ski about three miles west of Indian River.
The collision occurred near Massey's Landing about 4 p.m. Monday.
Delaware Natural Resources officer Sgt. Greg Rhodes says a 42-year-old man was operating the jet ski and died at the scene. His female passenger was flown to Christiana Hospital.
No one aboard the boat was injured.
The names of the victims have not been released.
