Allentown school to reopen after tornado

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - September 9, 2008 - Students will begin arriving around 7:30 a.m. A total of four classrooms will be moved to another school.

The twister was spawned as Tropical Storm Hanna moved through the region.

The National Weather Service estimated the tornado's wind speed at 95mph. The tornado caused damage in a roughly one mile or nine block area.

Damage in the area was estimated at $1.5 million. Roofs, shingles, sheds, fences and power lines were damaged.
