Pedestrian killed on South Jersey road

Police are questioning the driver who was behind the wheel of a car that hit and killed a person on a South Jersey road.

The accident happened about 11:30 Wednesday night on Route 38 near Pine Street in Mount Holly, Burlington County.

Polce say a red car ran into the victim then stopped.

Investigators have not filed any charges in the case.

The victim's name has not been released.

The accident closed the stretch of Route 38 at the scene of the accident, for hours.
