Peru has a nomination for the new first dog.

President-elect Obama promised his two young daughters a puppy when they move into the White House.

At a recent news conference, Obama said he prefers a pooch that won't aggravate his daughter Malia's allergies.

So, how about a Peruvian hairless dog?

The Friends of the Peruvian Hairless Dog Association is offering the new first family a 4-month-old pup.

The breed is completely bald and older than the Incas.

Association president Claudia Galvez says not only are the dogs hypoallergenic, they're also flealess and relatively odorless, too.
