Another Del. Co. home invasion

BROOMALL, Pa. - December 4, 2008 - It happened Wednesday night in Broomall. According to police, a 51-year-old Asian woman left her place of business and started to drive home. On the way, she noticed a car following her.

Investigators say she rushed to her driveway, got out, and ran to the back door only to get into a struggle with two men. Her 15-year-old son, who was in the house, came outside and tried to help his mother.

The two men were still able to force their way into the home, taking a briefcase from the woman with $1,500 inside. They got away in a car with a third man driving.

The 15-year-old suffered a laceration to the arm in the struggle.

This follows a home invasion Monday night in the Lawrence Park section of Marple Township, Delaware County. The victims, a husband and wife, were tied up and the home was ransacked. Three men were involved in that incident and the victims were Asian as well.
