Acting U.S. Attorney Laurie Magid says warrants have been served on 23 people named in indictments, and all but seven were apprehended Tuesday or Wednesday. They're being held in the Lehigh County Prison. The charges mostly involve cocaine and illegal gun deals in Allentown and Emmaus.
Those indicted include Samuel Reyes Jr. He's alleged to be second-in-command of Allentown's chapter of the Latin Kings gang that originated in Chicago more than 50 years ago and has chapters around the country. Three alleged members of an eastern Pennsylvania chapter of the Bloods gang also are named.
