A large water main break caused a morning mess in Upper Merion Township. The 12 inch cast iron main broke around 10:30 p.m. last night, shutting down North Gulf Road between Long and Church Lane.

Around 25 homes were affected. Aqua America didn't call the residents because of the time it occurred. All water was restored by 8:30 this morning.
