Man pleads guilty to rape of Pa. child

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (AP) - January 6, 2009 Jeffrey Gailloux pleaded guilty Monday to rape of a child, involuntary deviate intercourse and other charges. Bucks County Judge Jeffrey Finley ordered him held without bail. He'll be evaluated to determine whether he is a sexually violent predator.

A 14-year-old middle school student told a counselor in May that Gailloux sexually assaulted her hundreds of times at his homes in Buckingham and Warrington, about 20 miles north of Philadelphia, starting when she was 9 years old.

Gailloux's attorney, Michael Parlow, said his client acknowledges the assaults but says she was 11 when he started. Parlow says Gailloux has mental disorders but has been deemed competent to stand trial.
