Dover police: Steep increase in crime in 2008

DOVER, Del. (AP) - February 26, 2009 Dover police say burglaries were up 68 percent and robberies were up 34 percent compared to 2007.

However, Horvath says they are able to catch many of the people who commit certain crimes. He says suspects were arrested in 60 percent of reported burglaries, compares to the national average of 12 percent.
