Man found dead after Northeast Philly fire

Philadelphia firefighters battled a deadly 2-alarm fire Saturday in Northeast Philadelphia. Fire broke out in the 9400 block of Woodbridge Road around 11:10 p.m.

Arriving fire crews discovered flames shooting from the home and quickly went to work. Smoke and water caused damage to neighboring homes before firefighters got the upper hand and placed the fire under control around 11:52 p.m.

Firefighters discovered the body of a man on the second floor. No word yet on his identity.

6 apartments were damaged leaving 8 people displaced.

No word yet on a cause.
