Firefighter injured in Trenton

TRENTON, N.J. - March 17, 2009 - The fire started in the second floor rear laundry room at at 1204 West State Street around 8:00 a.m. Tuesday.

None of the occupants were injured, but one firefighter had to be taken to the hospital for evaluation after falling down a flight of stairs while battling the fire.

Two other firefighters had to be treated for exhaustion.

The home suffered significant fire and smoke damage to the second and third floors.

The flames also spread to 1206 West State Street, causing roof damage.
