A Wilmington fire official says a woman has been hospitalized after a row home fire. The fire was reported around 10 p.m. Wednesday in a home in the 900 block of East 17th Street.

Fire Capt. Christopher Murtha says two men got out of the house through the front door, but a woman tried to put the fire out and firefighters found her in the back of the house.

Murtha says the woman was admitted to Wilmington Hospital after she had trouble breathing.

Murtha says the residents of the home are being temporarily housed by the Red Cross.
