Firehouse explosion injures two firefighters

Two firefighters at the Kulptown Fire Company in Berks County were injured during an explosion that occurred at around 2:00 Friday afternoon.It happened behind the firehouse in Union Township on the 1000 block of Chestnut Street.

It is unclear at this time what caused the explosion.

Two firefighters were transported to an area hospital for burns they received during the explosion.

There is no word on any other injuries.
