16-year-old critical after being hit by car

A 16-year-old boy is listed in critical condition after being hit by a car in New Castle County. The accident happened around 9:00 p.m. on the Kirkwood Highway and Newport Gap Pike in Prices Corner.

Delaware State Police say a 16-year-old boy was riding a bike when he was hit by a car.

He was carrying spray paint and the cans exploded on impact.

The boy was taken to Christiana Hospital in critical condition.

Police are investigating.
