Police make speakeasy bust

Philadelphia Police are investigating a shooting inside of a speakeasy in the Tioga-Nicetown section of the city. Police first responded to a 911 call around 5:50 a.m. Saturday morning in the 3500 block of North 17th Street.

The report was of someone being shot inside of the home, however when police arrived nobody answered the door.

Police persisted and were able to get inside the first floor of the home.

They soon discovered that the home was an illegal bar with several people inside.

Police eventually made their way to the second floor and found blood in several locations on the second floor and soon discovered a person shot inside one of the rooms on the second floor.

Additional police officers and SWAT members were called in when the shooting victim told police there were two men with guns on the third floor of the home.

Police took into custody a number of suspects.
