Tough economic times for cadavers

MANSFIELD, Mass. (AP) - June 4, 2009

Now, a federal bankruptcy court has to oversee their disposal.

Nine human bodies are among the property listed by a bankrupt Massachusetts medical device maker.

Innovative Spinal Technologies kept the frozen bodies for use in training doctors.

Federal bankruptcy trustee Warren Agin tells a local paper (The Sun Chronicle of Attleboro) the cadavers aren't a health threat.

He says arrangements are being made to properly dispose of those human remains.
