Arrest in '08 Wilmington murder

WILMINGTON, Del. - June 5, 2009 - On Friday, police announced charges against Alejandro Rodriguez-Ortiz, 18, of Newport, Delaware in the death of Angel Rivera, 26, of Wilmington.

Rivera's body was found last summer inside a Honda parked inside a garage in the 800 block of South Franklin Street. He had been shot in the head.

Rodriguez-Ortiz is currently in the Howard Young Correctional Facility for the killing of Rodrigo Monroy in September, 2008.

Rodriguez-Ortiz is charged with Murder 1st degree, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by persons prohibited and conspiracy 1st.
