Pilot injured in NJ small plane crash

WOODBINE, N.J. (AP) - June 25, 2009 New Jersey State Police say the aircraft crashed around 6:30 p.m. Thursday in a wooded area near Woodbine Municipal Airport in Cape May County, about 20 miles southwest of Atlantic City.

Sgt. Julian Castellanos, a state police spokesman, says the pilot was conscious when emergency crews arrived.

The 60-year old pilot, well-known aerobatic flyer Neville Hogan, was taken to AtlanticCare Regional Medical center in Atlantic City for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Castellanos said there was no fire, and the plane apparently did not hit any nearby buildings. No one on the ground was injured.
