Hearing for boy in pregnant woman's killing

PITTSBURGH - July 2, 2009 - The hearing was held after attorneys for the boy, Jordan Brown, filed papers asking for charges to be dismissed. No decisions were made at Thursday's hearing.

The attorneys argue evidence presented at a preliminary hearing in March do not link Brown to the killings of 26-year-old Kenzie Marie Houk and her unborn son. Brown has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Police say Brown shot Houk in the back of the head on Feb. 20 as she lay in her bed in their farmhouse about 50 miles north of Pittsburgh. They say Brown killed his father's fiance with a youth hunting rifle he got for Christmas.
