Bail sought for man in shooting death of son

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) - July 29, 2009 Attorney Michael Dunn asked Montgomery County Court on Tuesday to set bail in a "reasonable amount" for 54-year-old David Janus.

Janus has been at the county prison without bail since his June 28 arrest on charges of third-degree murder, voluntary and involuntary manslaughter and a weapons offense in the shooting death of 28-year-old Brian Janus.

Assistant District Attorney Andrea Grace says she will not oppose the bail petition.

Authorities allege that the shooting followed arguments earlier that day between the victim and his younger brother and mother.
