Police announced the arrest of 33-year-old Calvin Gadson on Tuesday. He is charged with raping a girl who was walking with her boyfriend in North Philadelphia in Feb. 1998.
Philadelphia police Capt. John Darby says two men attacked the couple, raping the girl while holding her boyfriend at gunpoint.
Police say a DNA sample taken after the attack 12 years ago finally found a match in June. But Gadson could not be arrested until after a second DNA test.
Gadson was arrested Jan. 4 and charged with rape, sexual assault and other charges. He is being held on $150,000 bail.
Police are still seeking the second suspect.
