Seniors taking a liking to trikes

LOS ANGELES (AP) - January 25, 2010

A growing number of seniors are taking to three-wheeled motorcycles.

Retired aerospace engineer Jim McGrath likes all the attention he gets while riding his red trike in Southern California.

He says it's a real traffic stopper and people always want to talk about it.

The three-wheeled motorcycles are more stable than the two-wheeled variety and have nearly all the comforts of a car.

And the riders still get to feel the wind in their faces.

But a ride on the mild side has a price.

The Harley-Davidson Tri Glide costs about 30-grand.
