Prosecutors dropped their case against 24-year-old John George Rainis of Lewes on Monday, one day before he was scheduled to go on trial.
Rainis, a substitute teacher and athletic trainer, was arrested in June and accused of inappropriately touching a student athlete while treating an injury. State police alleged that when the student resisted his advances, Rainis threatened to prevent her from playing her sport.
