Police in a Chicago suburb are charging three teenagers with stealing a 4-foot-tall Simon the Chipmunk.
The plastic figure was part of a movie theater lobby display promoting "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel."
Police say surveillance video shows the plastic rodent being shoved into a car.
Investigators say two 18-year-olds and a 16-year-old were busted after one made an online comment about the chipmunk-napping.
Authorities found Simon in the basement of a home.
