Two injured, three homes destroyed in Pa. fire

LANSDALE, Pa. - March 28, 2010

It happened around 1:30 a.m. in the unit block of East 4th Street.

When firefighters arrived, they found flames shooting out the first and second floors and spreading to other homes.

One man jumped from the upper floor of the home. He was airlifted to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Medics report he suffered from burns, smoke inhalation, and injuries from the jump.

Authorities say another person also had to be taken to the hospital. There was no word on the conditions of those injured.

In all, three homes were damaged or destroyed. The Red Cross says it is helping 13 people who were displaced by the fire.

So far, there's no word on a cause for this blaze.
