According to Sgt. Hain of Cumru Police, a total of three accidents took place on Route 422 near I-176 in Cumru Townshipon Friday .
The first accident occurred in the eastbound lanes. One person was injured and is now listed in fair condition at an area hospital.
The other two crashes occurred in the westbound lanes moments after the first one.
One accident resulted in two minor injuries.
The third accident occurred when one vehicle in the westbound lane swerved and flipped over the median and landed in the eastbound lanes. The driver of that vehicle was ejected and is listed in critical condition.
Both sides of route 422 were reopened at around 3:00 p.m.
