Veterans charged with arson of armory

PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. - April 23, 2010

Dominic Majaors and Guy Jones, both 20 from Royersford, were taken to district court in Phoenixville this afternoon. Neither had criminal records, but now they are charged with using Molotov cocktails to set the early morning fire on April 15 at the National Guard Armory in East Pikeland. The blaze caused $1.2-million in damage.

Guy Jones' sister defended her brother," They went and fought for our country and it seems nobody standing up for them."

Majors and Jones returned from Iraq last September after serving a year in the war zone.

Majors' lawyer Paul Rubino said in court that his client came back with post traumatic stress disorder.

Authorities allegedly found evidence in Majors' home and a car registered to Majors' mother linking the men to the arson. They were picked up the day after the fire in North Wildwood and taken back to Chester County today.

Majors and Jones are charged with arson, burglary, risking a catastrophe and related offense. The judge, calling them a flight risk, set the bail at $750,000 each. Their preliminary hearing is set for May 6th.
