The 31-year-old man pulled into the Rodney Village Bowling Alley around 8 p.m. Tuesday in his Chevrolet Suburban and met two men. When they had a disagreement, police say one man pulled out a handgun and fired at the Maryland man.
Sgt. Walter Newton says the victim tried to chase the shooter, but he collapsed in front of the bowling alley. The shooter fled and the second man drove off in the victim's SUV, which was found later.
Newton says the victim was taken to Kent General Hospital, where he died. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
