The shirts had the team logo on the back and the slogan "Together We Are One" on the front.
The team was trying to get the color-coordinated look some other NBA and NHL arenas have pulled off during the playoffs.
It didn't work.
Some fans waved the shirts to rally the team - but few put them on, preferring to stick them under their seats.
Fans gave a similar brush-off to the thousands of white T-shirts given out as freebies earlier in the playoffs.
