The shopping center is located near the intersection of Routes 40 and 896 in Glasgow.
The victim and suspect, both from Northeast Maryland, know each other. Investigators say they got into a dispute inside McGlynn's Pub. After leaving the bar the suspect got into his vehicle and drove off. He then came back toward the victim and two others who were standing in the parking lot, striking and running over the victim.
After striking the victim, the pickup kept on going until it jumped a sidewalk and crashed into a pillar.
The suspect is in custody but has not been charged at this point. The victim remainsat Christiana Hospital in critical condition with hemorrhaging in the brain.
Police have not released the name of the suspect or the victim. The investigation is ongoing.
