Man pulled from rubble after trash truck hits building

UPPER DUBLIN TWP., Pa. - June 4, 2010

It happened around 10:15 a.m. Friday at a trash transfer station at 995 Fitzwatertown Road in Upper Dublin Township.

There, an unoccupied trash truck rolled down the hill and smashed into the Abington Transfer Station booth. The booth, which is very small and made of brick, was occupied by the weigh master.

The weigh master was the transported to the hospital. He is expected to be OK.

The preliminary investigation indicates that human error may have caused the truck to roll down the hill. The investigation continues.
