Jewelry thief strikes again in Delaware

WILMINGTON, Del. - June 4, 2010

A warrant has been issued for 26-year-old John Wiseman. Police say Wiseman asked to see a gold ring at the Jared store in Concord Mall on May 29th. When the clerk gave it to him, he grabbed it and ran out of the store.

Police say yesterday, Wiseman did the same thing at Minster's Jewelers in the Newark Shopping Center. An employee gave chase, but stopped after the suspect crossed Main Street and jumped a fence.

Then on Friday June 4th, police say Wiseman entered the Michael Gallagher Jewelry store and asked to see a diamond ring. Wiseman gave the ring back the clerk and walked around the store until a male clerk walked into a back room. He then asked the 63-year-old clerk to see the ring again. This time Wiseman held the woman's hand grabbed the ring and fled the store.

He was seen getting into the passenger side of a red smaller car with a spoiler in the rear.

Troopers currently have active robbery warrants for Wiseman. If you have any information about his whereabouts, you are urged to contact police.
